Ways to Boot XP fast:

1.Use Windows defragmentation start->all programs->accessories->system tools-> windows defragmentation

2.delete temporary files go to start->run-> type %temp%

delete un wanted files or even all files it is not affect ur system.

3.Type msconfig in run prompt

    select the selective startup and select startup tab ->uncheck the items u donot want to start when windows starting.

Ways to Shutdown XP Fast:

Step1:Go to control panel by pressing ctr+shift+esc

         or ctrl+alt+del

Step2 : go to shutdowntab->click ctrl+turnoff option

It will shutdown in a second.

Knowing Errors occurred in the System 

Launch Event Viewer from Control Panel -> Administrative Tools.
Note: You can also go to Start -> Run and enter "eventvwr.msc"  in the Open box to Launch EventViewer.
Look in the Application branch for events with a source of Userenv and ID of
1517 or 1524.
If you find those errors, download and install the User Profile Hive Cleanup
Service.
